Martin Almada has finally gotten his chance to show just what Stroessner and his secret police did while they were in power. When they were ruling they took and the torturer of many innocent people who were suspected to might bring about social reform. Recently with a tip from a woman they have found what is now known as "The Archive of Terror" which contains all of the detailed paperwork and photos of what Stroessner did having enough proof to prosecute him for good.
My Thoughts on it
Many of the things that he did are just horrible. If he tortured Almada while making his wife listen then he probably did it to others as well. I don't understand why people will do things like that. Even if they are in power and don't want to be overthrown, I do not believe that torturing people is the way to go.
How It relates to The Political Life of Paraguay
The people of Paraguay finally have proof of what went on while Stroessner was in charge. This will allow them to bring whatever change they need to their government and legal system that they need. It will also allow them to dig deeper and uncover any other dirt to bring about a better change.
